The Real Reel

Photography taught me to slow down and see. Thanks to the guidance and space held by G44 and Nia Centre for the Performing Arts, I found deeper clarity in how I capture stories. Film feels analog in the best way—raw, real, patient. My work lives in neighborhoods, not just galleries. It’s community-tied, not institution-bound. Every frame I shoot is a way of honoring the overlooked, documenting the present, and making the everyday feel sacred.
